James Byron Dean (February 8, 1931 – September 30, 1955) was an American actor. A bi person has the capacity for romantic and/or sexual attraction to more than one gender.  For most people, that simply means that you can be attracted to both men and women.  If you honestly feel you meet that criteria, then you are bisexual.

As a bi person, you do not have to feel the same kind or intensity of attraction to all genders.  As a bi person, there is nothing for you to prove, nothing to consummate, no requirement to “maintain” your bisexuality. Understanding and acknowledging your own sexuality is a personal process and is about living with integrity and being true to yourself.

If you are in the process of figuring out your bisexuality, it is likely that you will encounter mixed messages out there in the world, and they won’t always be supportive.  Some people have pretty intense hangups and fears about sex, doubly so when it comes to sexuality that is different from their own. But, this isn’t about them and their issues. This is about you.

There is no right or wrong, better or worse sexuality:
If you figure out you are straight, that’s wonderful.
If you figure out you are gay or lesbian, that’s wonderful.
If you figure out you are bisexual, that’s wonderful too.

The only “mistake” you can make is to be untrue to yourself and try to live a life that is someone else’s vision.  Figure out what makes you tick and what makes you happy. Take precautions to protect yourself physically and mentally, and discover your true self sooner, rather than later.  As the saying goes, it’s better to regret the things you did than regret the things you didn’t do.  It’s your life and you have to live it.  Make it wonderful.

Make-Up

I was in Boots yesterday buying some eye make-up base and got chatting with the sales assistant about how useful I found the product for easing the application of eye shadow, making eye make-up last longer and preventing creasing. I was persuaded to buy the product by a No 7 girl a couple of years ago and have been a fan ever since. This got me thinking about other make up products I use regularly but don't necessarily get pushed as much as the glamorous stuff like foundation, lipstick, eye-shadow and nail varnish. I thought it might be fun if other girls shared their own favourite products that help to make make-up application that bit easier or just help with a bit of wow factor. My current favourites are:

LashFibres Brush-on False Lashes. I really can't get on with false lashes so this product is a godsend for creating longer lashes without multiple applications of mascara. Just brush on immediately after applying first coat of mascara and then apply another coat of mascara. Brilliant.

MAC Foundation Brush. Due to cost I resisted buying one of these brushes for ages but now I'm totally persuaded. Uses much less foundation than a sponge and gives more even application.

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry Spray for nails . I was amazed how well this spray works. It really does dry nails quickly and gives them a nice glossy look.

Eyelure Brow Stencils. Unlike some bendy plastic brow stencils these Eyelure stencils are made from a soft gel-like material that almost moulds to the shape of your brow thus giving much better definition to the brows. No more problems with uneven brows.

How to Put On a Bra Properly

Just because you wear a bra every day doesn’t mean you know how to put one on correctly. If you put on your bra by hooking it underneath your breasts and spinning it around so that the closure is in the back, you’re putting on your bra incorrectly.

According to the experts, the correct method of getting into your brassier is as follows:

1. Adjust the straps to the maximum length.
2. Lean forward into the cups and rest your breasts into the supports.
3. Reach behind to hook the bra on the middle hooks of the closure.
4. Put the straps on your shoulders.
5. Position your breast in the cup by slipping a hand into the cup and lifting the breast while aligning the underwire on your ribcage along the natural crease of your breast to prevent pinching of the breast tissue.
6. Tighten the straps so that they support the breasts lightly without cutting into the skin or putting too much strain on the shoulders.
